It wasn't just the 38's!

It was a challenging weekend for sure. The 38 seemed to be very responsive up until then and the misses I had prior to the turkeys were pretty explainable…. Under corrections mostly sprinkled with a few shots that I had anticipated the shot on. I was really happy until then but I will just have to put that out of my mind and press on but it does seem like I am going to have to be a bit more aggressive with my sight movement with this little thing than I am with my 45.

I just got the report from Alma. The conditions must have been rough looking at the finals and only 13 showed up.

My wife’s 38 was delivered yesterday. 30” half round 12 twist Douglas barrel. Weighs about 10.5 pounds. This is the only picture I was able to upload.

OoooooWeeeeee THAT IS PURDY!!

When a rifle looks good it should shoot good.......
Gail has some very good wood. I have never been disappointed with the just standard she put on my three rifles.

Thanks ,I just read this whole thread and it is informative. I might have to get the 38/50 out from the back of the safe. For shits and grins here's a picture from last weekend at Milan 33 Buffalo shoot, I got 4th ,first time shooting that match with a scope, very interesting.

RE: .38-50 Hepburn - Kurt - 05-21-2022

Bill it has been interesting for me using a scope and I'm still having a problem with it.
When you get a notice for a Milan shoot please drop me a line.
I think Dan might have lost my mailing or he is not running the match anymore.
If you by chance have a Unertl or a Lyman target spot your not using I'm looking for one.
Kurt

Kurt October 15 for the next Milan Buffalo Shoot. No scope for sale ,I used an MVA silhouette on a 28 inch scope till 2 years ago, went to a DZ scope and I like it a whole lot better.

RE: .38-50 Hepburn - Kurt - 05-21-2022

I do to Bill.
I have two DZ and I just placed an order today for another so I don't have to keep switching them. I'm selling the MVA-A-10 and the 3000 series scope. The cross hairs are just too fine for me to see on black.
I will mark 10/15/22 on the Callander. Thank you.
