Thinking about grabbing up another 10 lbs of the 2f.

10 lbs???? get the backhoe out, dig up some of that money you're hoarding and get a case if it shoots that good Tongue

I took my .44-100 back to the range this morning after going through my brass that got mixed after cleaning it that made me think my 44 died on me. I got some real wild shots that really had me worried. What was going on is I had brass I just shot once got mixed with brass that was shot several times. I also got some vergin lead and tin and mixed some new alloy making sure that the alloy I been using wasn't mismarked.
I shot four different load and bullet combinations. A 487 gr Brooks porlate and a 500 gr KAL elliptical loaded with 2F KIK and 2F Old E using the same volume, not weight, and at 200 yards the 2F E powder with the 500 gr KAL bullet won out with 7 shots at 1-3/4" the KIK load with the 478 gr prolate shot a respectable 2-5/16".

Well yes 10 lbs is enough to get me thru most of the shooting I have planned and is enough to make a good test. Then if it pans out real well, it'll be time to order a case.

Don
Is that Gibbs bullet adjustable or tapered the whole way ?

Never mind, I see that is the one you are trying to sell
Why are you selling? wrong dia for you?

It's a good bullet, but really needs to be about .002-004 bigger to work real well in this rifle. It works quite well to 600, but beyond that it gets a little iffy.
