Still there is the difference in airspace between the powder kernels, and their sizes. 2f is still going to burn faster than 1.5.

I am at work so this is as close as I can get with out looking at my notes. 45-2 7/8 loaded with a CCI br2 primer, 110 grains goex FFG drop tubed down a 30" tube, .030 poly wad then compress powder .400, 1/8" felt wad lubed with spg, card wad, 560 grain paper patch bullet finger seated .300 in the case and slight taper crimp to hold bullet. This is my hunting load. I am still trying to figure this all out. This load shoots well and I can shoot 20 or so rounds with no fouling control and still have good accuracy for hunting. And I smear jojoba oil on the patch after loading and let dry.

Ok, I have a question, I compress my powder column .400 if it is compressed into a solid mass why does granulation size have any affect? I know it gets compressed more at the top than the bottom, but it is pretty solid all the way down. Just wondering.

If the load is shooting the way you like, then I'ld suggest not spending much time worrying about the internal details
