Shoot sharp, Mike RE: Sure glad - Kurt - 10-09-2015 I been hankering for a Hepburn for some time. The .40-70 is a good caliber. It is what my first Shiloh is chambered in and my Daughter and I have put many rounds through it. I have used it for the gong matches for a long time before ordering a .45-90 Shiloh and it did not match the accuracy I have with the .40-70. Now that Jamison started making good brass for it I might start reaching for it again. I keep looking at the DZ Hepburn and last year I just about sent them a deposit for a original chambered .44-100 caliber. I like their case coloring and lines the rifle has. I backed out because I had a 44-1/2 Stevens coming. But the amber is still burning.
