RE: Rendering Lead - Kurt - 04-05-2015 I kept a couple lead pot burner heads for a 25# LP bottle. They will turn 50# of lead to liquid in a hurry. RE: Rendering Lead - Tom Herman - 06-05-2015 Wayne, That is an awesome job! Glad to hear that everything went well... I picked up a King Kooker from Wally-World, and am using that and a heavy duty stainless steel pot. I, too, wound up with a pile of 60# ingots: I got them so long ago, that some were ten cents a pound, and a while later, I picked up more at 33 cents a pound (and regretted shelling out so much money at the time!). Been waaay too busy here, looking forward to turning large ingots into smaller ones, and then making alloy with the results. Happy Shootin'! -Tom RE: Rendering Lead - Nuclearcricket - 06-06-2015 [attachment=557] Kurt, you mean a pot like this? These are just great to have if you want to melt down a bunch of stuff in a hurry. The only draw back I have found is getting that last little bit out of the bottom of the pot, but thats a very small price to pay for the convenience of being able to melt a bunch of stuff and/or large or odd shaped stuff, down in a short time and get it into usable ingots.
