Mike thank you for these American Sharps Shooters. I really enjoy reading them.

Very good writeup Rick on the barrel sight usage.
I also favor the barrel sights and you know my feelings using the scope for hunting Smile

Here is Brutus. He makes an impression on you when his eyes grain at you and seeing his massive head starting to sway side to side.
Thank you Rick for the memories.

Kurt, thanks for the good words on the article. Thanks also for the great pic of Brutus! Yea, that swaying back and forth with his head when he was studying you brings back some memoriesSmile Carol was a trooper even when things got a little closer than I wanted! Have a lot of good memories of the hunts and the BRT get togethers with you guys. Thanks for all the help over the years. I grew up with barrel sights and will fight scopes tooth and nail till I absolutely have to have one. Got a cataract starting in my right eye that was giving me fits on the long range stuff at Sagebrush. Ol Grizz already has the scope blocks on it so there will probably come a time............

Kurt and Rick, Let me thank both of you for your help in getting The American Sharps Shooters out to the readers. Not just this last edition but over the years. And I also like barrel sights, still use them on some rifles. But for my eyes the peep sight is what I need. Shoot sharp, Mike

Mike my lamps are getting very dim and for a few years I been trying to learn how to use a scope because it's getting to the point if I want to hit a silhouette with a dark back fall I need to put the scope on the rifle.
Mike keep up the good work with these articles I enjoy reading them. See you in June if not sooner in Washington.
You and Rick as well as the rest reading this y'all have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Thanks Kurt. And my lamps are getting dim too... It looks like I'll have to use the scope for silly-wets. But I'm hoping to stay with iron sights for most things. See you soon, I hope! Shoot sharp, Mike

Mike, hope you are as stuffed today from stuffed turkey as I am todaySmile Glad to help out with TASS and give back to the sport a little bit of what knowledge I have accumulated. Dick, Kurt, Lee, Wild Bill, Ivan, Bob, are some of the people who help/helped me on my journey in BPCR. That is what it takes to keep this sport going and growing. Thanks to you for all your hard work in publishing TASS as a vehicle in that same regard!

Rick
